Lessons from the Owner’s manual, # 111
I am sitting in a parking lot, enjoying the rain. Reading from Owner’s Manual, always a good thing. Suggestion, those of you that are rock solid about the 10 commandments, read a letter to the Romans from Paul. 10th chapter, 4th verse. Not going to quote it for you, like to get you reading the Word yourself, and not just listen to what others say. Paul had a pretty good reason to write this letter. He identifies himself as the writer. Probably written around 74 AD. Once you get started. You don’t have to stop with just one verse. Will request of you a comment, about this post, and about the verse mentioned. Not trying to push you into anything, just encouraging you. I do know this, when you actually read from the Scriptures, all the troubles and worries that you are going through, for that amount of time you are reading, are gone. Try it, and see. In the meantime, we are praying for all of you, and request you keep us in your prayers.

Lesson from Owner’s manual, #112.
Remembering an old song.
The premise of the song was a man standing at Judgement Day, and was not going to Heaven. He looked at his friend, who WAS going to Heaven, and asked him “you met me every day, and you knew I was astray, but you never mentioned Him to me.” Today, I learned of the death of 2 friends from my past. Were we close? Yes. Until we moved to Nashville, and friends moved to Florida. He died as a result blood sugar abnormalities… (can’t spell diebetic, and spell check ain’t helping ) and his wife, Marion, died last year after a long struggle with cancer. “Claude, what does that have to do with the afore mentioned old song?” I don’t remember if I ever mentioned God to them. Now wait, don’t get your panties in a wad, not trying to preach at you. Well, witness is a better term. I wonder how many people on that Great Day, could say “you never mentioned Him to me ” .If you are one of my friends, or family, or associates, would rather have you mad at me for telling you about my Faith, than not mention Him to you. Understand, I am NOT a judge, but I will be a witness. I realize what I do is so much louder than what I say. I try every day to be that witness. Some days I am better than other days. But I try. So, my friends and family, have I told you about this God I serve? He IS love. Hates no one. He can’t be love, and hate anyone. Now I know a few of you just choked on your Liviticus readings, and perhaps this is a lesson you are not ready for. But for those seeking love and acceptance, let me tell you more about the God I serve. Any time, day or night. Don’t stand on the day of Judgement, and say I never mentioned Him to you. Appreciate your reading this, please feel free to share. And all comments (civil) are welcome. If I only listen to folks I agree with, I will never learn anything new. God bless

Lighten up! What in the World makes you say that, Claude? I have Scripture to back me up on that. First, Paul said “I would that you bear with me in a bit of my folly” He was probably in jail at the time, and was cracking jokes! (Davis translation) Jesus said, “Cast your cares upon me, for my burdens are easy, and my yoke is light” (again, Davis translation) So why do so many “Christians” go around with a long mule face, talking about how ble. go around with a long mule face, talking about how blessed they are? (Really can’t say that as well as my Pastor Harry Yates does in person.) But think for just a moment, we should dwell on the fact that no matter what, we will be OK. If I die, I know where I am going. If I am mistreated, lied on, or talked evil about, so was Jesus. At what you think may be your lowest point (and I have been there, believe me) take a look at your hands. Do you see any nail prints? Look in the mirror; do you see scars from a crown of thorns? Check out your side. Do you see a scar where it was pierced? “But Claude, you just don’t understand.” I would suggest that yes, I do understand. Probably more than most. This lesson is important to me, for sometimes I get wrapped up in the drama that is called life. Got diagnosed with yet another ailment just today from VA. So? So what? I’m not going anywhere until God is finished with me. And until that time, I will serve Him; I will minister as He wants me to do, to whom ever He brings into my path. And at least once a day, I will look in the mirror, and smile. Shucks, sometimes I just laugh out loud. Tell me God does not have a sense of humor? Just look at a picture of me. My mind is like a safe. First, just like a safe, needs to be open. Second, I have to be careful what I put in my “safe”. If I only put in problems, worries, sadness, and irritable stuff, then there will be no room for the good things. Things like Love, happiness, blessings, and joy. I make it a point to clean out my safe at least once a day. Usually when I say my prayers just before retiring for the evening. I ask God for forgiveness for the things I did wrong, and things I should have done. (He that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin) Then when I wake, I make sure the safe (mind and heart) is open, and begin to look for the blessings to fill it. What I am looking for is what I will find. If I am looking for sadness, anger, or troubles, that is what I will see. But I choose Blessings, and God’s will. Sometimes I get my will confused with God’s will. But not so much anymore. Worry is one thing I have just about completely eliminated from my mind. Worry is mentioned in the New Testament more than Salvation, were you aware of that? And every time it is mentioned, the message is always the same.DON”T. Worry is just another way of saying “I don’t trust you, God” Had to work on it a lot. Cannot name one thing that was ever made better by worry. Faith is the opposite of worry. And the more I exercise my Faith, the stronger it gets. So, open your mind, look for Blessings, and don’t worry. Sound simple, but it will take practice.

Lesson from Owner’s manual, #115
In your mind, who showed the greatest faith in the New Testament? This question is open for many answers. Some say Peter, who actually began to walk on water. But when he took his eyes off Jesus, he began to sink. Boy could preach a week just on that comment alone. Let me share my opinion of the greatest faith shown. Jesus was on the cross, between two thieves. One said to Jesus “hey, if you are who you say you are, get yourself off that cross, and while you are at it, get us down too” (Davis interpretation). The other one said (again, Davis interpretation) Shut up! We earned our place on these crosses, but this man did nothing” Here is where the Faith comes in. He turned to Jesus and said “Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom” Everyone else thought this was the end for Jesus. His mother and Mary even his brother knew it was over. His followers watching from a distance, scared for their lives. But this man on the cross, think about it . He called Him Lord. He knew who He was. And he knew it was not finished. His kingdom would be coming. Oh what Faith that man, hanging on a cross, showed. And Jesus said. “THIS DAY, YOU SHALL BE WITH ME IN PARADISE” Not tomorrow, not a thousand years from now. But Jesus said TODAY. (Some folks think unless you are baptized, can’t get into Heaven, who baptized this man?) The Faith shown by this thief on a cross next to Jesus, in my opinion, was outstanding, and powerful. How about you? What have you done lately to exercise your faith? Worry is the opposite of Faith. Think about it for a bit. Look inside your heart. See yourself as Jesus sees you. Where are you exercising your Faith? Would love to hear your thoughts on Faith. (Substance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen.) Appreciate your reading this.

Lesson from Owner’s Manual. #116
This morning started with me remembering a few good friends. I am not trying to get “down” about this post. It is a Celebration of their lives. A few people that were in my life that made me a better person. I celebrate, because I know I will see them again. Your Will never hear me say I “lost” someone, because you can’t lose something if you know where it is. I know I will see them again. In that, I rejoice. To be absent from the body is to be pr…
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I know we miss them, and they can never be replaced, but WE WILL SEE THEM AGAIN. We will know as we are known. How about you? Have you made your Peace, call, and election sure? Look in your heart; see yourself as God sees you. Put away you Church affiliation, look deep inside, are you sure you are prepared, if death should come to your door. If you are not absolutely sure, I want to pray with you. Pm me, and we will pray. Christians, look in your heart, See yourself as God sees you. Are you doing what He asks us to do? “Why call me Lord, and not do what I tell you.” As Mick Shade says, look for a way to be a blessing to others. If you have read this far, Thank you. Please feel free to share. Also, if you know you are ready to go, simply say “I’m ready” Never know who might read your name, and approach you for prayer.
Lesson from Owner’s Manual #117
Just for today. I am NOT going to listen to any political “news”. I voted early, have had enough. Let us get on with bringing the Country back to God. You know how we can do that? Real simple, get closer to God yourself. One soul at a time, one Praise Report at a time. One exercise of our Faith at a time. God has not moved, Take a step back to Him (or Her, boy, made you spew your coffee on that, huh) Don’t wait for someone else to get closer, let everyone take that step. Let everyone feel that Love, you know, that is what God is..LOVE! Today, if you are feeling something that is not love, it is not God. Everyone Bless someone today. And try to do it without getting caught. Short Lesson, but oh so important.

Lesson from Owner’s manual, #118
I Took a day off from Facebook yesterday. After an appointment at VA, came home and did some serious damage to our leftovers. We had our Thanksgiving on Tuesday, due to wife having to work Wed. through Sunday. Yes, the USPS has people working every day of the year, except Christmas. Folks working to get the mail ready for the ones that will bring it to your house or business. I only had use of my phone for past couple of days. I know I missed many peoples Birthday. For that I am sorry, but will try to make it up next year. Have a bunch of things to be thankful for, no way to list them all. One thing stands out the most to me that God trusts me enough to do His work, to the best of my ability. Several years ago, I could not even trust myself. Some of you knew me then, and know of what I speak. Could not do anything so bad that God would stop loving me. Why would I mention that on a day like today? Because I know, somewhere, someone is reading this, and wondering why they should go on living. I was at that point. If you have never been there, then no way can you understand. This post is for the ones that are in a place so dark you cannot see your own hand in front of your face. Listen closely. GOD LOVES YOU and so do I.I know there are some that will turn away from me because of where I have been. That’s OK, God NEVER turned away. This post is for the one that will listen, and have Hope restored. Drugs? Been there! (And Alcohol is a drug). Despair? Yep. But today, just for today, I am blessed. The same God that sent His Son to die for all of us is reaching out to you today. Let not your heart be troubled, Don’t care what your church affiliation is, don’t care how many times you have been rejected and scorned by manmade religion, God IS Love. And He loves you, today, right now. Would love to pray with you. If you want, can pm me, or just request prayer here. I know several who will pray for you as well. This Thanksgiving day, won’t you take that step? God is waiting, and so are we. Not really the post I thought it was going to be, but I follow a Great God, and for that I am THANKFUL.
Lesson from Owner’s manual, #119.
Be ready, at all times. Seems there were 10 pretty girls that were waiting to be married, to the same fella. See, where he lived, that was the custom. Multiple wives, at the same time. Well, as the story goes half of the women goofed around and let the light go out in their lamps. The other 5, they did not know when the bridegroom would be there, but they wanted to be ready. They kept their lamps all trimmed and burning. When he showed up, off those 5 went, leaving the others behind. That is sort of Davis translation, but you get it, right? One of the saddest things that happen in churches is Christians don’t stay “prayed up.” See, God won’t hear our prayers for others, until we have ourselves in His favour. If we don’t stay prayed up, it could cost someone their soul. Serious stuff here, folks. Are you prayed up? Let me ask you this way, if Christianity were declared to be illegal and you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? If Jesus shows up at your door, would you have to hide anything, or wipe the dust off the Bible? You say that would never happen. No? What if someone showed up at your door, asking for prayer., would you have to pray for yourself before you could pray for them? Be ready, for we don’t know the time when the Rapture will come. It might come for you tonight. Every day, someone dies that had plans for tomorrow. We are not promised tomorrow. Here is where some of you will disagree with me. I was asked once if I was one of those who thought you could lose salvation once you had it. I believe if you get it (salvation) you will use it. Dangerous to think “well, I got saved when I was a kid, I can just sit back and wait for Jesus now.” Does not work that way, not according to my Owner’s Manual. I think I have given enough to choke a few of you now, so take some time to chew on it, digest what we have written here. And thank you for reading this far. Please take time to comment, let us reason together.
And feel free to share. Keep us in prayer, and God bless.
Lesson from Owner’s manual, #120.
It has been a few days since we posted one of these. Have been really wrapped up with family health issues. Thankfully, things are improving. God is still on the Throne, and the name Jesus holds all power. About this time 2000 plus years ago, a young girl, somewhere between 14 and 16, was on the back of an ass, headed toward Bethlehem. She was very pregnant, and we can imagine how uncomfortable she was. The guy with her? He was a young man, apparently about the 17 or 18. He was not married to the girl, but they were engaged. Was a rough trip made over the cold desert? Her next few hours would be rough. Her name, Mary his, Joseph. Will continue this story later. Just want you to give some thought to the real reason for the season.
Think about it.
