Day 11, Lesson from my Owner’s Manual:
We used to have some big family reunions. Bet some of my cousins remember. There was a case years ago where another family and all their friends traveled at least 4 days to attend. After all the hoopla, it was time to head home. After 2 days of travel, they noticed that their 12 year old boy was missing. They had thought he was just somewhere in the big group, but they were wrong. So back they went to the town, Jerusalem, looking for him. Know where the found him? He was in the big Temple, and he was teaching the scribes and priests about the Old Testament. And these learned men were amazed. This 12 year old boy explaining things they didn’t know. When mom ran to get him, she said “where have you been, we have been looking all over for you.” He said. “Don’t you know I must be doing My Father’s business?” Exact quote is.”Know ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?” Today, we all need to be about our Father’s business.
Find a way today to bless someone else. Could be a prayer, a hug, and a meal, just whatever comes to mind.
God will give you the idea, you do the work.
Day 12, Lesson from my Owner’s Manual
I hear folks all the time talk about fighting with devil. According to my Owner’s Manual, I don’t have to fight him. Jesus went to hell, whipped the devil in front of all his demons. Jesus took back the keys to death, hell, and the grave. See, if God has already whipped him and put him in his place, I just have to declare the victory, and serve Him that did the whipping! Someone once said I was hiding behind God. I thought about that for a bit. I realize if someone has to go through God to get me, I am really in a pretty good place. Think about it! Declare the Victory.
Again, thanks to all who read, comment, and share these posts.
Day 13, Lesson from my Owner’s Manual
Today I once again had to practice forgiveness. The other person did not even know. It is about me doing what I am supposed to do. That leaves my heart with more room for God’s Love. Short and sweet. Forgive others, and forgive yourself!
Day 14, Lesson from my Owner’s Manual
Faith is what is on my mind right now! Ever wonder why some people seem to have a stronger Faith than others? Because they exercise it more! Start with giving God all your problems, and leaving them with Him. Worry is the opposite of Faith. Worry is another way of saying “I don’t trust You, God.” Today, exercise your faith. Watch it grow stronger.
Day 15, Lesson from my Owner’s Manual
What is one sin we all commit on a daily basis? The sin of omission. Owner’s Manual tells me that “He that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” We all can make excuses for why we don’t do some things that come in our mind. I’m going to let you think on that awhile. I will be back in the morning.
Day 16, Lesson from my Owner’s Manual
Jesus asked to those that were with Him. “Why call Me Lord, Lord, and not do the things I tell you.” We profess to be a follower of Christ, yet do not do what we are told to do. One of the things we are told not to do is judge others. Sometimes we put our expectations on others. We make the conscience choice to look down on folks.
My question for today is? How are you going to reach them if you are afraid to touch them?
Think about it.
Day 17, Lesson from my Owner’s Manual
“For in as much as you have done this unto the least of my brethren, you have done it unto me.” Jesus was talking, saying on the judgement day, those that fed, watered, clothed, visited in jail, etc. that we have helped, would go on his right. Those who did not do these things, well, they were going the other direction. Every time we help the hungry, clothe the homeless, give water to the thirsty, visit those in jail, etc. we are doing what Jesus told us to do. Every time we don’t, we are doing that to that to Jesus as well.
Find a way to do His will today! It can be as small as smiling at someone, giving a hug, etc.
Think about it!
Day 18, Lesson from my Owner’s Manual
“Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.” The key word here is walking through. We keep on moving. Anyone that has ever driven in the snow or mud knows, sometimes we have to back up and go forward. As long as we are moving, we are not stuck. I know that many are hurting today due to death of a loved one. You are not going crazy, just dealing the best you can! When I got mad at God after the death of my son, He loved me still. He held me in the warmth of His loving arms, and carried me. The other part of this verse suggests that death is a shadow we all must walk through. I can’t say nor does anything that will make those suffering feel any better. All I can say is yes; I know what it feels like.
All of you are much in my prayers.
Think about it.
Day 19, Lesson from my Owner’s Manual
In doing my research, I have found some things that made a difference in my actions. First, the word “religion” means out of habit, doing something the same way because that is how it has always been done. Christianity is not a religion. It is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. As with any relationship, the more you put into it, the more you get out. Imagine how your significant other would feel if you only visited them once or twice a week, and then only to beg for stuff! Praise Him, Worship Him, be thankful for what He has done, is doing, and will do. May your personal relationship with Him guide you in all your words and actions?
Think about it!
Day 20, Lesson from my Owner’s Manual
A Lesson From my Owner’s manual, day 20. In doing my research, I traced back the meaning of the word “church.” It means a gathering of believers. I hear people say all the time, “I belong to such and such church.” Don’t get me wrong, I know my Owner’s Manual says “Forget not to assemble ourselves together” It also states “where two or more are gathered, there I am also.” We can have church anywhere, any time.
Think about it.
